St. Sgt. (res.) Nir Cohen, 22, of Maccabim was one of 15 reserve soldiers
killed in Southern Lebanon. Nir was a past Machon Australia/New Zealand Israeli
madrich (leader). May his memory be blessed.
Australian author of classic Storm Boy fame, Colin Thiele, died on Setpember 4th,
at his home in Queensland, after heart problems.
Australia's car-racing legend,
Peter Brock,
61, died in a car crash on September 8th,
in the Targa West Rally in Western Australia. Nicknamed "Peter
Perfect" and
"King of the Mountain", Brock did his first Holden television
commercial in 1972,
spruiking the Monaro GTS 4-door. |
