A very warm congratulations to Gil (ex-Betar Shaliach, Sydney) and Ruthie Shalem 
on the birth of their baby boy, in August, in Israel.
Mazal Tov to Anthea Kessel-Yarkoni (Sydney) and Ohad 
on the birth of their daughter Ella, in Israel, on the 10th of July 2006
Michael (Sydney) and Shimrit Frumar gave birth to twin boys,
Yochai Yaacov and Achiya Moshe on the 1st of July 2006 in Israel. Mazal Tov!

St. Sgt. (res.) Nir Cohen, 22, of Maccabim was one of 15 reserve soldiers 
killed in Southern Lebanon. Nir was a past Machon Australia/New Zealand Israeli 
madrich (leader). May his memory be blessed.
 
Australian author of classic Storm Boy fame, Colin Thiele, died on Setpember 4th, 
at his home in Queensland, after heart problems.  

Australia's car-racing legend, Peter Brock, 61, died in a car crash on September 8th,
in the Targa West Rally in Western Australia. Nicknamed "Peter Perfect" and
"King of the Mountain", Brock did his first Holden television commercial in 1972,
spruiking the Monaro GTS 4-door.

Refuah Shlemah – a complete and speedy recovery – to Danny Morris, son of Carole Morris (Melbourne)
who was injured by shrapnel from sniper fire in Lebanon.
